Prof Onyemelukwe is a legal practitioner with a PhD in Medical Law from Canada, having bagged a First Class from the University of Nsukka. She is a Professor of Health Law and the CEO and Founder of the Center for Health Ethics, Law and Development (CHELD).
She is very passionate about mental health and the poor quality of services, as well as human rights abuses that they sometimes experience. She consults for several international development organizations. Her legal expertise and desire for change is an asset to the Foundation.
