Asido Campus Networks

Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta

The Asido Campus Network (ACN), Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) Chapter, is a student-led mental health advocacy network and the youth arm of the national Asido Foundation. Established in 2023 following an initiative that began in 2021, ACN FUNAAB is dedicated to building a mentally aware and supportive campus community. As the first mental health advocacy club within FUNAAB, ACN FUNAAB has taken a leading role in promoting awareness, reducing stigma, and encouraging help-seeking behavior among students. Since its inception, the club has implemented impactful projects such as Mental Well-Being 1.0 and Undaunted, both of which fostered dialogue and engagement around mental health. The chapter has also driven online campaigns that reached a wider audience, sparking important conversations and building a supportive community. Through its efforts, ACN FUNAAB has grown to nearly 500 members, partnered with campus associations to amplify its mission, and engaged meaningfully with the university’s health centre. These initiatives have helped raise awareness, reduce stigma, provide resources, and create safe spaces for students to connect, learn, and support one another.
